trade. |
|

|
To ensure the perenniality of the cocoa even on a
small scale. Voluntary chocolate sellers undertook a mission of
development with a direct relation with growers in order to carry out
equitable trade with a total traceability.
|
Concretely six chocolate sellers allow to run out
the production of a grouping of 12 farms on a field of 508 hectares
employing 120 people. Annual production of 120 tons broad
beans "foresteros amelado" that one collects exclusively on the island CHOCOLATE.
This production will give a cocoa "Great Vintage".

cacao-trees, which currently suffer from ageing. Indeed, a cacao-tree
has one lifespan from 30 to approximately 40 years. This island of was
at last century the 1st world cocoa producer with 36 000 tons per year,
today only 4 000 tons are produced.
